Burns event at Pollok House

Well, what can I say? It snowed, and then it snowed, and then it snowed some more. Heavy traffic, broken down vehicles, slippy roads, and long delays as Ibrox decanted could not deter the Scratchers, who against all odds, arrived to play background music at a Burns Supper at Pollok House on Saturday evening. Our music was received well, and it was generally felt that counting in at the start of each set worked better at this particular event, though I must question my counting ability…it has never been my strong point! We then relaxed afterwards enjoying a delicious plate of haggis, neeps and tatties. Thanks to staff at Pollok House for their hospitality, and thanks from me to all Scratchers for making such an effort to be there, it was greatly appreciated.

Thanks to Pollock House for having us once again and thanks to Alison for arranging our visit. Always a pleasure to play here. Some say we just go for the Haggis, but I disagree. I enjoy the potatoes and the turnip just as much. Thanks once again to the staff and party go-ers who made us most welcome. Hope you enjoyed the music.
