Burns Gig, Pollok House, Saturday 17 January

Scratchy Noises were invited to play at an evening event to celebrate Robert Burns birthday at Pollok House.  We played for about an hour in the lovely Library as guests arrived and enjoyed a drink before going for their supper.  We played a good variety of foot tapping traditional Scottish music  along with some Burns tunes, and even ventured some harmonies which really added to some of the slower tunes. (Our wee practice before hand definitely sharpened us up!) We then enjoyed our own Burns supper provided by Pollok House in the Servants’ Hall.  All in all a very enjoyable evening.  Thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality and for the delicious dinner. Some photos attached below.
