Hello! I was wondering whether your summer practice, and Scratchy Noises more generally, is for fiddlers only or whether you have whistles as well? And if so is it ok if I turn up to a practice session to see if this is for me? (I´m new to playing the whistle and have never played as part of a group)

Hi Guys Paisley Music Festival is running from 15/08/16 to 21/08/16. My daughter Sophie does guitar with the organiser, Tommy McGrory from the Rock & Pop school. He’s looking for bands / groups who can do a stint. Tommy’s suggested Friday 19th in Hamish’s Hoose on Paisley High Street for a group of up to 10 of us. I spoke with Dave about it last night. If this would be of interest can you let us know. Would probably be a small donation for a performance fee.

Hi Findley, both myself (David) and Valerie would be up for this.

We will contact you when we are back in the civilised world, we are currently on north uist and phone signals are non existant , and internet is very scarce. I will send this just now as another pidgeon is just about to leave, and I’m not sure when the next one will be available, I may have ordered it for my dinner.

    Cheers

    David

      Hi guys

Gig in Paisley sorted for Friday with August. It’s in the Bull Inn (changed from Hamishes Hoose)- top of New Street – at 8pm. Can we meet about 7.45 to get sorted. The Bull is a smaller pub and well suited to a session type gig.

I won’t be able to manage tomorrow as I’ve got an impromtu wedding, but I’ll be there next week.

      Fin

      • Valerie Says:

        Hi,

Can you give some more info then we can get a few folk together – before we mentioned c5-7 folk, how long to play for?

      • Finlay Says:

        Hi Valerie
We’d be on for about an hour.

        Fin

      • Carol Says:

Hi Fin. Sorry, but we can’t be sure if we’ll make the Paisley gig 19-8-16 after all as we may be on holiday. If we don’t make it, hope it goes well. (Definitely missing the AGM…). See you on Monday at Babbity’s, if you’re there.

      • Finlay Says:

Address for Bull Inn for Friday – 7 New Street PA1 1SU. See you at about 7.45

  19. Carol Armour Says:
