Practice Update 11th December 2012

by

Good practice last night.  We avoided the well played tunes and dusted down a few we haven’t played for a while.  We also had a go at some new tunes we recently did at a workshop with Nigel Gatherer including The Ale is Dear, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, My Cape Breton Home, and Ashoken Farewell (aka ‘A Shocking Farewell’ but I don’t think it sounded too bad).

We need to try and remember the endings e.g. often we forget to slow down as last few bars when we have agreed we would.

Next week Monday 17th December your Scratchy Noises session will be taking part in a bigger GFW session in the Enterprise Suite on the ground floor.  There is no practice on the first floor.  Go direct to the Enterprise Suite for 7.30pm (or 7pm if you want to take advantage of the slow session too) and surprise yourself with how many tunes you can join in with.
