Practice Update 5th November 2012

by

Thanks for the session tonight Christine.

We tried using a metronome that was kindly donated to the group by Douglas.  Good fun and should get us all thinking about timing more.  Neil has taken it for the week so maybe that makes him responsible for timing next week?

I was pleasantly surprised that our Sarah’s Song was better than previous renditions and glad that Iain chose the Maros River tune too.

Next practice Monday 12th November.

There is also an extra practice with tutored session on Sunday 11th November.  Please let me know in advance if you want to come along so I can order the buffet for sufficient folk:

The best comment I heard recently about metronomes was from a guy in my Bagpipe class, and when the teacher commented that we should try and play along with a metronome to improve our timing, he said that he had tried but his metronome must be broken because it keeps going faster and slower. 😉
